The award giving ceremony of the International Art Contest “Sunshine Bookmark 2013”
"Lucky Thirteen" - the Grand Prix of the International Art Contest "Sunshine Bookmark 2013” for Polish young artists from the Youth Palace in Warsaw

The award-giving ceremony of the International Art Contest “Sunshine Bookmark 2013” was held on 23rd April 2013 at the Public Library in Ursus. The theme of this year edition was "My most beautiful journey."
The competition was attended by over 2 000 young artists between the age of 5 to 19 from Bulgaria, Ireland, Italy, Indonesia, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Ukraine. The entries were evaluated in two categories: general open and general of art schools and art studios by famous Polish illustrators and authors of books for children: Małgorzata Bieńkowska, Joanna Olech and Małgorzata Strzałkowska. The jury stated that very important for developing creativeness of young artists is the talent and the efforts of art teachers, who are able to inspire children and young people, unleash their creative potential, dare them to make artistic experiments in creating beautiful artworks. The international contest was under the auspices of Polish Minister of Education - Krystyna Szumilas, the Marshal of the Mazovia - Adam Struzik, the Member of Polish Parliament – Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, the Mayor of Warsaw - Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, the Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute - Michaela Todorova, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Romania in Poland – Ioana Gabriela Costache, the Mayor of Ursus District - Wiesław Krzemień, the Chairman of Ursus District Council - Henryk Linowski, the President of the Polish Librarians Association - Elżbieta Stefańczyk and the institutions: the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the National Library, the Book Institute, Polish Section of IBBY.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of: Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Ireland, Jane McCulloch, Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Warsaw - Michaela Todorova, Director of the Camões Institute - José Carlos Costa Dias, the Vice Mayor of Ursus District - Jacek Duchnowski, the Chairman of Ursus District Council - Henryk Linowski, Councillors Marianna Jaguścik and Wanda Kopcińska, Head of the Department of Culture and Promotion of Ursus District – Aleksandra Magierecka, Director of EBEJOT Company - Andrzej Jaczewski, President of the Polish IBBY Maria Kulik.
